This website serves as a home to document the journey of my master’s thesis project at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). More specifically it’s about typeface design of Canadian syllabic fonts, and the expansion of existing typefaces to include syllabic support.
Digital media has been a common thread throughout my career and I chose this program to build my technical and critical-thinking skills. I am interested in exploring how public institutions can do a better job of serving the needs of all citizens, especially those marginalized by disability, language barriers, or access to mainstream technologies.
About me
I am a Registered Graphic Designer and an IAAP-certified Accessible Document Specialist. After graduating from OCAD University with a degree in graphic design, I have worked at several small design agencies and as a freelancer.
Since 2010, I’ve been with the Ontario Public Service. In my role as an in-house designer and front-end web developer, I’ve created videos and motion graphics, developed public education resources, and managed social media channels. Currently, I work in the Marketing and Digital Strategy division at Cabinet Office, where I actively contribute to the development of high-profile marketing and advertising campaigns for the province. Additionally, my team oversees the government’s branding and visual identity.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy repairing old Macs, honing my culinary skills, and exploring urban areas via public transit.
